Habitat for Humanity of Owensboro started its ninth women’s build event Thursday in effort to build someone a new home. 40 to 50 female volunteers are working at the construction site of a new Habitat for Humanity home. The goal is to reconstruct all the interior and exterior walls of the house, along with roof trusses, all in one weekend. Volunteer shifts will continue today and tomorrow. This will be the 120th house Habitat for Humanity has built in Daviess County over the last 26 years. They plan on building five to seven new homes this year.
