ROMP kicks off Wednesday; festival officials are estimating a crowd of 7,000 to 10,000 people, and they’re beefing up security. They say every year, one of the biggest problems they deal with is underage kids sneaking into the festival with alcohol. So, this year, they say they’re adding more checkpoints into the park, to keep an eye on who comes in. They’re also adding more fences. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office will have deputies at the park throughout the week, allowing for more eyes on the event to keep everything in order.
