A Kentucky State Police trooper was killed after his cruiser struck a tractor-trailer in Livingston County. The accident happened on U.S. 62, about two miles west of Grand Rivers last night. Trooper Eric K. Chrisman was responding to a reckless driving complaint when he failed to negotiate a curve. His cruiser crossed into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer, operated by 53-year-old Richard A. Burnham Jr. of Benton, KY. Trooper Chrisman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston County Coroner. Burnham was transported by KSP to the Marshall County Hospital where he was treated and released. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
