P&L Railroad is moving ahead with several highway closings for rail crossing upgrades in HOPKINS & MUHLENBERG Counties. Closures for rail crossing upgrades are planned for the following locations and dates:
Starting Monday, June 29th starting at 8:00 a.m., CDT
KY 70 at MP 0.593 in Muhlenberg County near the Muhlenberg-Hopkins Line: There will be no marked detour. KY 70 is expected to reopen at this location on Wednesday, July 1st.
Starting Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 8:00 a.m., CDT
KY 175 at MP 12.633 in Muhlenberg County. This is along KY 175 north of the KY 70 intersection. No marked detour. KY 175 is expected to reopen at this site on Friday, July 3rd.
Motorists who regularly travel these routes should be aware of these planned closures for rail crossing upgrades and make advance alternate travel plans.
P&L Railroad has plans to close KY 70/Beulah Road at MP 16.170 in Hopkins County west of Madisonville: However, that closure has not been scheduled.
