Two adults and three juveniles were arrested Wednesday morning in a theft case in Daviess County. According to the sheriff’s department report, deputies responded at 2am to a suspicious vehicle report in Friendly Village. A suspect, 18-year-old Christopher Haycraft of Lewisport, was found to be in possession of a stolen rifle. Also arrested was 19-year-old Keye Johnson of Owensboro, along with three juveniles. They are accused of theft by unlawful taking, as deputies say the group had allegedly stolen items from vehicles in the southwest part of the county. The driver, Haycraft, was also charged with operating a motor vehicle under he influence of alcohol.
