The Daviess County Coroner has released the name of the woman killed Friday night in flood waters on KY 140 West. According to the sheriff’s department, they, along with fire departments from Utica and Daviess County responded to a caller who reported seeing a passenger car being swept off the roadway by flood waters. After a two hour search by boat and land, the fire department located the car submerged in a deep ditch in rapidly moving water. The driver, who was in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, has been identified as 57-year-old Kathleen McCarty.
