A domestic disturbance call in Henderson County Sunday resulted in a drug arrest. On July 12 at approximately 3:09am Kentucky State Police received a call of a domestic disturbance on Kings Mill Road. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a 16 year old female outside the residence who advised she was in a verbal altercation with her mother. The juvenile’s mother had left the residence however, troopers made contact with Mr. John G. Jeffries inside the residence. Upon entering the residence troopers observed several items consistent with drug activity. Upon further investigation at the scene Mr. Jeffries was in possession of illegal drugs and placed under arrest without incident on the charges of:
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Meth)
- Trafficking in Marijuana (Less than 8 ounces) 1st Offense
- Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
- Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation
Mr. Jeffries was transported and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center, Kentucky State Police is continuing with this investigation.
