Kentucky State Police released a new mobile app this week. The KSPOLICE app, which is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, includes a voice messaging tip line, the ability to send photo tips and access to the sex offender registry among other features. KSP Commissioner Rodney Brewer highlighted the ability to target specific locations to send notifications regarding traffic, severe weather, missing persons, escaped prisoners or other emergency situations. According to media partner 14News, the app was developed by The Meers Agency, a Louisville-based company.
