Drivers in Kentucky could pay less than $2 a gallon for gasoline by the end of the year. GasBuddy is forecasting price drops will accelerate from late September through Christmas in as many as 20 states, including Kentucky. Senior analyst Patrick DeHaan says global oil demand is cooling off and supply is outpacing demand. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Kentucky is $2.41. It’s $2.48 in Louisville. In Owensboro, prices on regular unleaded range from $2.33 a gallon at Hucks, up to around $2.49 in some parts of town.
