A Kentucky non-profit organization is pushing for the legalization of medical marijuana. Kentuckians for Medicinal Marijuana held a public meeting on Saturday in Owensboro. Nearly 50 people packed into the small lecture lounge at the Daviess County library. Many of the board members say they all have illnesses that are best treated with cannabis. One of the supporters told reporters she has an immune deficiency disorder and takes 24 different medications. She says some of those pills make her sick and marijuana seems to help her most.
