A Tennyson woman is in jail after a State Trooper arrested her for OWI while her son was in the car with her. At 1:02 Monday afternoon, Trooper Brock Werne pulled over a maroon 1995 Buick LeSabre at Dorbett Street and 9th Street in Jasper for driving across the center line and not having a bumper. During the course of the traffic stop, Trooper Werne believed the driver, Alicia K. McDaniel, 39, Tennyson, was showing signs of impairment. Through the course of the investigation, Werne learned that McDaniel had been smoking methamphetamine earlier in the day. McDaniel had been driving with her 9-year-old son in the vehicle with her. Child Protective Services was contacted to take custody of the boy at the scene. McDaniel tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana, and was transported to the Dubois County Security Center without incident.
