The current US 60 bridge over the Green River at Spottsville has been conducting traffic since 1931. Now it’s time for an upgrade. Tuesday, Kentucky Transportation officials unveiled plans for a new $25 million span immediately north of the old bridge with two 12 foot driving lanes and 4-foot shoulders. The project will go up for bid in 2017 and is projected for completion in 2019. The existing bridge will remain open while the new bridge and approaches are being constructed.
