More Kentucky students are taking Advanced Placement tests and are scoring higher.In the past five years, the number of Kentucky public high school students taking AP exams is up 35 percent. That’s according to data released from the College Board. The number of tests with a qualifying score of 3, 4 or 5 has increased 40 percent. The AP program gives high school students the opportunity for college credit. The College Board also released results from the SAT college-entrance exam. The average scores of Kentucky public high school students who took the SAT this year were up several points.
