Today is an interesting day in the history of iEverything. It was 8 years ago today that iTunes announced it had reached the 100 million app download mark. ONE YEAR LATER the number of app downloads had risen to 1.8 Billion! Currently that number is around 48 Billion — and that doesn’t count Google Play, which is responsible for another 32 Billion app downloads. That’s ten apps each for every single human being on the planet!
If you’re wondering how I reached these figures so quickly — well, there’s an app for that.
I don’t even know what the new iThing is. It’s being announced today — an iPad, or an iPod, or an iPed (if that doesn’t exist someone should invent it) that will serve to confuse everyone as to what new iWhatever they really need. I, for one, will wait. I think they rush this iStuff to market before working the bugs out — look at the iPhone 5, released with a sapphire lens on its camera that turned bright light sources purple. No kidding. That was the genesis of the Furry Head song Purple Snn — which is attached to this blog.
Seeya!
