An Owensboro man was arrested Thursday evening after police say he shot another man at the east side McDonald’s. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the restaurant on KY 144 around 7:36pm in reference to a possible shooting. The caller had stated that a man shot another man, and the shooter had gone into the restaurant, but later advised the man was in the parking lot of the former Rural King location. Upon arriving, deputies also learned that the victim, 55-year-old Kimble Gabbard, had driven himself home. In the meantime, deputies arrested 20-year-old Corey Brown and charged him with assault. Gabbard was located and taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for an injury, where a gunshot had grazed him on the top of the head. The case remains under investigation.
