Indiana officials are advising residents to be on the lookout for toxic blue-green algae in the Ohio River. On Friday, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management issued a recreational advisory covering the river and all its tributaries from the Indiana-Ohio line to the Cannelton Locks and Dam. Residents are warned to avoid contact with water that has visible blue=green algae present. Anyone who has contact is urged to wash with warm, soapy water.
