The Daviess County Fiscal Court is questioning the library’s plan to spend $3-million on an expansion project. Judge Executive Al Mattingly doesn’t seem to think it is necessary to do the project when the space is available. Mattingly suggests the library partner with schools and other organizations to host programs in their unoccupied space. Mattingly also says the library could host more than one session for programs expecting large crowds. Earlier this year, the library board voted 3-2 to move forward with the construction.
