A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place a work zone lane restriction on a section of the Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins and Christian Counties starting Friday, October 9. This work zone lane restriction runs along the Pennyrile Parkway from mile point 22.6 in northern Christian County extending northward to mile point 32.861 in southern Hopkins County, a distance of just over 10 miles. The project includes asphalt pavement and other improvements between the KY 800 Interchange in Christian County and the US 62 Interchange in Hopkins County. Rogers Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $3.3 million highway improvement project. It has a target completion date of June 30, 2016. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
