A two-county car chase Saturday night ended in a crash and an arrest. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, it started around 6:45pm on Hwy 431, near Ben Ford Road, when a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle from a hit and run that happened in Owensboro. The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Jonathan Boyd, of Beaver Dam, refused to stop. The chase was suspended in Utica because of increased traffic, but a McLean County deputy spotted Boyd later in Livermore and tried to stop him, but he kept going. The chase ended when Boyd crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 5th and Main. He’s facing a long list of charges including fleeing and evading, wanton endangerment, and DUI. He also had warrants out of Ohio County for assault, burglary and theft.
