Democrats from across Kentucky, including Governor Steve Beshear and governor hopeful Jack Conway, attended an annual dinner in Madisonville Saturday. The gathering of Democrats has happened each year since 1975. Beshear, who will step down after this year, wants a strong successor who won’t rest on his laurels. According to the Governor “We’ve moved Kentucky to, I think the brink of greatness.” Democrat Conway will face off against Republican Matt Bevin in the general election. Bevin too has been campaigning his way across Kentucky. The election is Tuesday, November 3.
