Democratic and Republican leaders in Daviess County are predicting one of the lowest voter turnouts ever in the Nov. 3rd election. Russ Wilkey, chairman of the local Democratic Party, says “You ask people about the governor’s election, and they want to talk about the presidential race.” David York, chairman of the Daviess County Republican Party, said local Republicans are working to get as many people as possible to attend a Bevin rally Tuesday at Republican headquarters on Frederica Street. The most recent poll results show 42 percent for Conway, with 37 percent for Bevin; the margin of error in the poll is 7 percent.
