One person was killed Tuesday morning trying to flee from an accident scene on the Pennyrile Parkway in Henderson County. According to media partner 14News, the accident happened around 6:25am at mile marker 76, at the exit to the 425 Henderson bypass. Sheriff’s deputies say it started in the northbound lanes with a road rage incident when a pickup truck rear-ended a car while both were trying to pass a semi. The pickup then fled the scene by turning around and heading down the southbound Pennyrile. The driver of the car also took off to try to get the truck’s license plate number. The truck soon flipped over a guardrail and off the road, coming to a rest on its top. Deputies say the driver was killed. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who witnessed the initial rear-end wreck to call them at (270) 826-2713.
