Congratulations to Theater Workshop of Owensboro for winning three awards last weekend after competing for the first time in Kentucky Theatre Association’s Community Theatre Festival. TWO took the award for Best Newcomer, and its performance of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” won Jeremy Scoggins best actor for the part of Lenny while Layson Brooks Sr., who played Crooks, won best supporting actor. And yes, TWO has teamed with WVJS to present a radio theater version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at the Empress December 23rd with all proceeds to Street Relief. Ticket information soon.
