Music history time! On this date in 1989, Billy Joel’s “Storm Front” hit the top of the album chart. It had been released back in October. Some songs from the record included Joel’s original version of “Shameless,” which Garth Brooks covered in 1991, “I Go To Extremes,” “And So It Goes,” and the number one single, “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” The latter single featured a fast-paced vocal that followed several world events and figures in order from the 50’s through the 80’s.
