Contractors for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plan to remove work zone lane restrictions along Interstate 69/The former Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins, Webster, and Henderson counties before the Christmas and New Year’s Holiday driving period. Most of the restrictions are expected to be down by the end of work on Wednesday, December 23, and remain down until January 4, 2016. This applies to an extended work zone that runs from Pennyrile Parkway mile point 37.7 in Hopkins County extending northward through Webster County to mile point 73.4 in Henderson County. It also includes work at the new I-69/Pennyrile Parkway Interchange with KY 56 at Sebree. However, motorists should continue to use caution as an electrical crew will continue working along the shoulder areas as they go about installing lighting for the new interchange.
