DEFTONES will issue its long-awaited follow-up to 2012’s “Koi No Yokan” on April 8.
The band’s guitarist Stephen Carpenter revealed the release date during an interview with ESP Guitars at this year’s NAMM show, which is being held this weekend in Anaheim, California.
Carpenter said: “[We’re] sitting around waiting for the release of our new record. It comes out April 8th. We have some dates in Texas in March, in May-June we’re off to Europe for some festivals out there. We’ll play for all the people who are interested and want to hear it.”
According to Moreno, sixteen songs were written for DEFTONES‘ new CD, which was once again produced by Matt Hyde (SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MONSTER MAGNET, WINDS OF PLAGUE). The effort will feature a guest appearance by Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS).
