UPDATE Mickey is back. He needs a home with structure and probably older teenage kids or no kids. He can be high energy and situations that are random and unpredictable are challenging for him. He loves playing with kids but he is has a high toy drive. He needs a home with adults that can understand his limits and keep him focused. He was found as a stray originally and brought to the shelter. The finders had 2 other dogs and kids and he did well with them. Mickey would benefit from formal training for basic obedience and manners. He is a sweet and loving dog but can be mouthy and nippy when allowed to be in situations that cause him to be hyper and unfocused. Mickey is pretty scared at the shelter but seems to be a nice boy. He was out running loose unattended and chased a small dog and in the process, knocked someone over and landed in “doggie-jail”. Mickey is a large American Bulldog looking dog who came in as a stray. If no one reclaims him by 3/15, he will be available for adoption or rescue. This breed of dog is often euthanized at shelters because it is so hard to properly assess them. They are truly a breed that is often mis-understood. If you are interested in this pet please contact us as soon as possible. We take in approximately 4000 animals a year.
