According to Billboard.com, GUNS N’ ROSES was detained at the Canadian border for having a gun.
The incident happened on Friday, July 15 as the musicians were crossing the border coming from the Philadelphia tour stop on July 14, a band representative confirmed. The gun did not belong to any member of the band.
Prior to “Out Ta Get Me”, he said (see video below): “You did what? What? ‘Oh, yeah, we found a gun.’ So we weren’t exactly arrested, we were detained.
“[The customs officers] were very nice. They were very nice. They were very understanding. You know, it happens — you can forget you had a fuckin’ gun. Wasn’t my gun.”
GUNS N’ ROSES‘ “Not In This Lifetime” stadium tour features classic lineup members Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan backed by drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and new second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
