An educational institution that enrolls students at campuses in 39 states is shutting down. In an announcement Tuesday, officials with ITT Educational Services Incorporated, who operate ITT Technical Institute, said all operations will be shut down, blaming new sanctions from the government as the cause. According to media partner 14News, company officials said they will not be offering their September quarter, after exhausting exploration of other alternatives. This means the loss of employment for over 8,000 employees in the over 130 cities they operate in. The Department of Education has stated that ITT had been the subject of an investigation for not being in compliance when it came to accreditation.
