A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along sections of KY 2699 and KY 2120 in Daviess County starting Saturday, October 8. This milling and paving work will require work zone lane restrictions at the following locations: KY 2699/Goetz Drive in Owensboro from mile point 0.0 at the KY 2121/Southtown Boulevard intersection extending to US 431 at mile piont 0.741. Also, KY 2120/Worthington Road from mile point 0.0 at the Lee Rudy Road intersection extending northward to US 60 at mile point 0.381. The contractor plans milling along both sections on Saturday with asphalt paving to start on Monday, October 10. Yager Materials, LLC, is the prime contractor on this $95,396 highway improvement project. Work along both routes is expected to be completed in about 3 working days, weather permitting. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
