An Ohio County man was arrested after leading a trooper on a brief chase. According to the Kentucky State Police, Trooper Eric Browning made contact with a vehicle, at the Cromwell Market, for cancelled registration plates. While Trooper Browning was obtaining personal information in his patrol l car, the vehicle sped away. Trooper Browning began pursuing the vehicle. After a short distance, the vehicle turned onto a gravel road, which led to field, where the vehicle became stuck in the mud. The operator, Justin Snodgrass, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly taken into custody. A passenger in the vehicle, Erica Bratcher, also fled the scene and has not been located. Justin Snodgrass was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance1first degree, first offense (meth), Drug Paraphernalia – buy/possess, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs / BOC . 08 – 1st off. Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (motor vehicle) and Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd (on foot). Snodgrass also had an active warrant through Butler County, for Bail Jumping. Snodgrass was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
