Owensboro, KY. (May 26, 2017) On May 28, 2016, Kentucky State Police began investigating a rape complaint that occurred in Hancock County. After nearly a year-long investigation, the case was presented to the Hancock County Grand Jury. An indictment was returned on Joseph Drake Nonweiler, 19, Owensboro, for the charges of Rape 1st degree, Class B felony, and two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st degree, Class D Felony. Nonweiler was apprehended on May 26, 2017 by the Kentucky State Police and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center with a $100,000 cash bond.
