Representative DJ Johnson, R-Owensboro, (fifth from left on top, fourth from left directly above) saw Governor Bevin sign two of his pieces of legislation passed by the General Assembly into law on June 27th, in Frankfort, Ky. On top, House Bill 161 is signed, which requires the Finance and Administration Cabinet to promote and publicize new economic opportunities for service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses. Directly above, House Bill 128, also known as the Bible Literacy bill, establishes optional elective courses relating to the Bible in Kentucky public schools. Johnson, who is currently serving in his first term in the House, was joined at the bill signings by fellow legislators, advocates for both pieces of legislation, and Governor Bevin.
