FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 28, 2017) – The following is a statement from Reps. Robby Mills, R-Henderson, and Suzanne Miles, R-Owensboro, on the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority’s approval of tax incentives for a substantial expansion of the existing operations of Audubon Metals in Henderson. The company has been approved for $1 million in incentives that will result in 39 new jobs at $24 per hour. Audubon’s total investment in the project is $8.3 million.
“Audubon Metals is a leader in scrap metal separation and the aluminum industry, which is incredibly important to Kentucky’s booming automotive industry. We are very excited about this project and the creation of 39 new jobs in our region, and want to thank everybody involved in making it happen. We are hopeful Audubon continues to expand with the addition of new furnaces, which is indicative of the strength of Kentucky’s growing economy.”
