A random act of kindness on an Owensboro street just might start a trend for this colder time of year. Facebook poster Cary Gabbard Richards this week spotted a coat on a hanger, accompanied by a bag, hanging on a pole near a bus stop on Triplett Street. This got us to thinking, why does it have to be just one person? We all have (or know someone who has) a coat or jacket that we don’t use. In addition, why just coats? Blankets are a needed thing this time of year as well. Let’s start leaving these items around town for those who need them! Don’t want to hang it somewhere yourself or can’t decide where? Bring them to the radio station on Tamarack Road and we’ll find a spot! Let’s make everyone’s fall and winter a little warmer.
