A Paoli man turned himself in to police on Friday after being investigated on charges involving a minor. According to the Indiana State Police Jasper post, an investigation began on February 21 focused on 37-year-old Gavin Brown, who also happened to be the Paoli Youth Football president. After getting a complaint, ISP detective Shane Staggs determined that Brown was using a social media platform where he attempted to obtain nude photographs of a female juvenile under the age of 14 in exchange for nude photographs of himself. Staggs presented his case to Orange County Prosecutors Office for review and the Orange County Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for Brown. Charges included Possession of Child Pornography, Inappropriate Communication with a Child, and Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors. Brown turned himself in to officials Friday afternoon at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department without incident and later bonded out.
