Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is apologizing after he said that teacher protests in the state harmed kids, kind of. The governor yesterday said in a video that his words ‘have consequences’ and that he apologizes for those who have been hurt by the ‘things that were said.’ Bevin on Friday said that he guaranteed that a child was sexually assaulted or ingested poison because they were left home while teachers protested at the statehouse in Frankfort. Lawmakers and teachers’ union leaders say the governor’s apology comes up short.
