Eighteen kids have died in hot cars in Kentucky in the past 20 years. A representative with Norton Children’s Hospital says these deaths, even in high heats like those this week, are 100 percent preventable. Firefighters say doing whatever you can to remember a child is in the backseat of the car can prevent these deaths. Kentucky’s last hot car death happened earlier this month.
