School safety is not just metal detectors and school resource officers. Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin yesterday told a panel in Frankfort that cell phones can be dangerous tools in the hands of teens, and he wants a school safety plan to address them. The governor said phones are contributing significantly to a lack of sleep, lack of self worth, lack of self-esteem, and that they don’t mix well with the number of children on “mind altering drugs” in the state.
