Spencer: Indiana State Troopers are investigating a multiple vehicle crash where 4 pedestrians have been injured.
7-4-18 @ 1100P.M., Several troopers from the Jasper Post were dispatched to 11886 North State Road 545 (New Boston) where two vehicles collided and 4 nearby pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle involved in the accident.
2 pedestrians were hospitalized via ambulance. The extent of their injuries are not known at this time.
2 pedestrians were hospitalized via helicopter for serious injuries.
The names and locations of the injured pedestrians will not be released at this time.
Patrick Taylor-Gerber, 28, Tell City was driving a white, 2013, Buick, Enclave. Taylor-Gerber was not injured.
17 Year Old Juvenile, Owensboro Kentucky, was driving a dark green, BMW passenger car. The driver was treated for non-threatening injuries.
Alcohol & Drug use were investigated. Troopers will be waiting for the certified blood/urine analysis results from the Indiana State Police Forensic Laboratory.
The accident is still under investigation by ISP Detective/ Accident Reconstructionists Josh Greer.
Detective Greer stated, after a thorough investigation has been completed he will submit his findings to the Spencer County Prosecutor, who will determine if criminal chargers are applicable.
