The Mega Millions jackpot is now the largest in U.S. History, after nobody hit all the numbers in Friday night’s drawing. The jackpot has been growing since July.
The winning numbers were 15, 23, 53, 65, 70, and the Mega Ball was 7.
While nobody won by hitting all numbers, lottery officials say there were at least 15 second tier tickets sold worth $1 million each.
In October of last year, Mega Millions changed the game and made the odds of winning even greater. Instead of playing with 15 Mega Ball numbers, it was increased to 25 Mega Ball numbers. That makes the odds of hitting go form 1 in 258.8 million to 1 in 302.5 million.
The next drawing will be Tuesday night.
According to Mega Ball officials, there was a $1 million dollar ticket sold in Madisonville in last week’s drawing and Kentucky lottery says there was a $1,000,000 Winning Powerball ticket from 10/17/18 sold in Lexington at Minit Mart #664 Leestown Road and a $150,000 Winning Powerball ticket sold in Owensboro at Tobacco Patch KY #5.
