I remember back in the early 1990's that Marty Brown was a hot new artist from Maceo, KY everyone was talking about, he even got a lot of buzz about his music video "Every Now & Then" shot in Maceo. In 1990 he released his 1st album "High & Dry" did modestly well and one music critic gave it an A+ in 1993 he tried to reach a broader audience with his album "Wild Kentucky Skies" in 1994 he released another great album Cryin' Lovin' Leavin' even though his albums received a 4 out of 5 rating his record label MCA dropped him that year. He then signed to an independent label in 1996 and released "Here's to the Honky Tonks" this CD was praised but brung in weak sales.
He fell on some hard times in 1997, In 1998 he co-wrote Tracy Byrd's "I'm from the Country" Marty Brown hasn't completely disappeared in October 2010 he performed at the Roxy Theater in Franklin, Kentucky. He still continues to write great songs and performs. Best of luck to you Marty Brown from your friends at 94.7 WBIO!
