Owensboro Humane Society is needing help to fit the bill for 30 + cats that all need complete vetting. Some have eye issues, blind in one eye, URI’s etc… Some are not adoptable but will be placed in nearby barns that our volunteer Cheryl

Warming Center To Re-open


Due to more single-digit temperatures, a Daviess County warming center will be set up Thursday and Friday night, February 26 and 27. It will be open Thursday night from 9pm to 8am, and Friday night from 7pm to 8am. The center is open to all ages and genders and no pets are allowed. The warming center will be at the Salvation Army at 215 Ewing Road.

EPA Finds Arsenic on Ohio County Land


The Environmental Protection Agency has discovered high levels of arsenic on a property in Ohio County. Judge-Executive David Johnson tells media partner 14News that someone was storing drums containing arsenic in a barn on Shinkle Chapel Road in the 1940's. The barn has since burned down, but the contamination remains.

Henderson Man Arrested After Traffic Stop


A traffic stop in Henderson County led to a man being arrested on a drug charge. Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on Shannon N. Bland on US Highway 41 North in the city limits of Henderson. While Mr. Bland was emptying his pockets for a search, the subject tried concealing a plastic bag in the palm of his hand. The bag contained Methamphetamine.
