An Owensboro man was arrested Thursday night on wanton endangerment charges after an incident on Springlane Drive. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 7:52pm to a report of shots fired in the 4500 block of Springlane. Deputies say they found 67-year-old David Herman Yeckering on the front porch with a loaded pistol. Another man at the scene, David Todd Yeckering, the suspect’s son, told officers that at least three shots had been fired as him as he was leaving the residence. Witnesses confirmed there had been an altercation at the home and shots had been fired. David Yeckering was arrested and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center and charged with three counts of First Degree Wanton Endangerment. There were no injuries.
