The number of people using Daviess County Parks is still increasing – up another 5,000 this year from 2014. That’s part of a trend of big percentage jumps over the past three years. With two months left in the 2015 fiscal year over 23,000 people have utilized the shelters and pavilions at Yellow Creek and Panther Creek parks – and that’s not counting the ROMP Festival or sports activities held at the parks. Parks Director Ross Leigh says family reunions, birthday parties and large picnics attribute to most of the annual visits.
