A feasibility study involving the Ohio County Jail should start next week after Fiscal al Court agreed to pay for it. According to media partner 14News, Ohio County Judge-Executive David Johnston recently formed a committee to examine the jail’s performance. To get an outside opinion, the county will be paying a Louisville firm $6,000 to conduct a study. It will compare costs involved in either keeping the current jail open, building a new one, or shipping inmates elsewhere.
