The hometown of Bill Monroe will soon have its own bluegrass museum, and money from the state will help make it happen. According to media partner 14News, Ohio County will receive $300,000 from the state for a bluegrass museum project in Rosine. Judge Executive David Johnston says the 15,000 square foot building will be constructed at Everett Park. The Ohio County Fiscal Court and Industrial Foundation have bought several items from Bill Monroe’s estate that will be on display. A Spring groundbreaking is expected.
