One person was charged with various traffic offenses after an accident Sunday injured 10 people. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, Harold Lang of Vine Grove told deputies he was driving west on U.S. 60 and was turning south onto U.S. 231 with a green light when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle that was northbound on 231. That car was driven by Michael Rittenberry of Henderson. Rittenberry stated that he could not stop in time and struck Lang’s vehicle, and witnesses confirmed that Rittenberry allegedly ran a red light. Deputies investigating also confirmed by the skid marks on the roadway that this had happened. Rittemberry was charged with Possession of a License with Revoked Privileges and Operating on a Suspended License. Three others in Rittenberry’s vehicle were also injured. Six were injured in Lang’s vehicle, including Lang and his wife, another couple, and two toddlers.
