One person is dead and another hospitalized after a shooting outside the ConAgra Foods plant in Princeton, Kentucky. According to media partner 14News, officers responded to the scene around 12:14pm Wednesday. The police department says 37-year-old Nellie Renee Nichols, of Dawson Springs, went to the factory to confront her mother. The report states that during an argument that followed, Nichols fired a semi-automatic pistol. A male standing nearby was struck in the hand and later taken to a hospital for treatment. Nichols ended up turning the gun on herself, and was pronounced dead at the hospital. A statement from ConAgra said the company was aware of the incident, and that the people involved were not employees. The plant was secured following the shooting and company officials are cooperating with police.
