A Henderson County sheriff’s deputy says road construction led him to discover a house fire. According to media partner 14News, Deputy Matt Forker was on duty around 2am Monday when he headed into Zion. He says he would not usually take that route, but was trying to avoid construction on the Audubon Parkway. Forker says he noticed a haze, than spotted a glow that he first thought might have been a field fire. By the time he got to the 4700 block of KY 1078, it was apparent a house was on fire. It was determined that no one was in the home, and Forker notified dispatch to let the fire department know about it. The fire is still under investigation.
